Unavailable to buy in uk?
I just bought earth awakening and saw it was dlc to this game, but when i try to add this one to my cart it says it is not available to buy in my region. Even the bundle has the same issue. I just find it strange how I can get the dlc but not the original? Well at least it's standalone lmao.

I knew Silverfall wasn't available in the UK for some years now, but I didn't know you can still get Earth Awakening. As far as I know, Earth Awakening contains both the base game and the newer material, so it isn't necessary to buy Silverfall anyway. The actual interesting part is that they advertise Earth Awakening as just a DLC and don't make it clear that it's an expanded version of the original game.

Thanks your answer really cleared things up. I guess that would explain why it's unbuyable then. Dunno why they don't just delist it though.

I installed it today and when I start a campaign it only allows me to choose the expansion. I'm guessing it still technically has all the stuff from the original but it would of been cool to start a character from lvl 1 and I dunno if I'm missing any story from the original campaign.

I don't really know, either, because I could never get the original game to open, so I've always played Earth Awakening. In a number of older threads, others have said that Earth Awakening contains the entire original story.

I'll see if I can find the older threads where this was discussed.

I found two threads where the contents of Earth Awakening have been discussed.

The review I mentioned on the following thread is now the 3rd one down on the store page.

I think I understand the situation better. EA actually is an expansion, but if you install Silverfall first, EA will integrate the base game files into it's own files. The reason I am able to start from level 1 is because, even though I could never get Silverfall to open, I did install it before I installed EA. Since you don't have Silverfall installed, you are stuck with just the expansion part of the campaign.

The only thing others have suggested to UK players is to use a VPN to purchase Silverfall. I'm sorry that I accidentally mislead you earlier. Here is another thread discussing the matter.

I can't buy either of them in the UK, is there a workaround for this? Some of you seem to have Earth Awakening but I can't even buy that..

Either you can use a VPN to buy the game or you can buy it on GoG. UK buyers are blocked from buying the game on Steam.

Yeh for me the only option seems to be gog. The vpn explanation is not clear but I tried and everytime I had it in my cart and turned off the vpn it would just keep saying not available in your country so yeh. I would like to have it on my steam but I still have no idea what to do.
Edit: Ok cdkeys.com worked beautifully. Got a key for 99p and it activated no problem.

cdkeys.com keys work. It's how i got silverfall when I couldn't off steam. If you want it in your steam library its the easiest way.

Thank you, this worked a treat. I usually don't like resorting to such measures, but I wasn't exactly keen on using a VPN either. This seems like a technical fault rather than any sort of ban from the UK (we rarely outright ban anything, least of all games as tame and dated as Silverfall), so I at least feel some level of justification.
