Stutter during Map Scrolling
Whenever I'm walking around I'll get abrupt stutters every few seconds. It's especially noticeable when the background is scrolling as well. Any ideas as to how I can fix this?

I noticed this doesn't happen when I play on my integrated card (though it runs choppier in general), but it does when I run my Nvidia Geforce GTX 765M.

Same issue on a GTX 970; very weird as I've seen gameplay videos and never noticed this. My frames are high though. 70-90s. I'll try capping with V-sync and see if that helps.

Having the same problem. Running a GTX 770. Tried V-sync, but that didn't help...

Similar occasional stutters on a 980 Ti when walking around, whether normally or on the world map. Nothing major for the most part, but does happen randomly every now and then. I have vsync and triple buffering on through Nvidia Control Panel as well, but doesn't seem to fix it. Worth noting that on my monitoring gadgets on my second monitor, there are apparent CPU usage spikes most of the time when it happens. Nothin ever seems to be happening on-screen when the spikes occur though, so I'm not sure what triggers it.

I have a 970 and I have no trouble at all, stable 60 fps as far as I could notice. Maybe it could be cpu related like stuttering can often be. Even though the game only ask for a Corei5 2.2ghz, they don't mention AMD. Any of you with trouble have an AMD CPU?

Could be two things:

1) the unity engine is bad for asset streaming. Like worse than unreal engine bad, which could be causing some stuttering. Ori and the blind forest has this issue too.
2) I have a laptop with intel and nvidia gpus, and its pot luck when it comes to 2d games (even though setsuna isn't 2d per se) as to whether I get frameskipping when I run the game on the nvidia card. On the intel, they never frameskip, but the intel can't handle them performance wise. Here are some examples:

Mark of the Ninja: slight frameskipping
Dust and elysian tail: fine
Guacamelee: frameskipping unless in game vsync is off
Ghost 1.0: frameskipping
Shovel Knight: fine
Ori: fine (apart from unity engine issues)
Rayman origins: fine
Rayman legends: fine
Child of light: fine
Freedom planet: fine now (frameskipped when it was opengl. Moved to d3d and its fine now)

Nvidia gpus seem to have issues with 2d games (particularly laptop ones). The performance is always 60, but the framepacing is off, resulting in visual stutter. Sadly the only workaround I have ever found was to run them on the intel and lower the resolution. That is not always an option though since anything even remotely high res with bring an intel to its kness.

@Apoc I do not have an AMD processor and I'm running a decent intel i7.

I installed to my SSD and saw slight improvement. Checked my FPS and there's no actual framerate dips happening so either the FPS doesn't update often enough or its something else.

What I've surmised is that if this game runs below 60fps it will stutter on background movement. My guess is their camera interp code is wonky or something. Not really sure.
