Extracted editor folder content should look like this:

Then in the editor, if you follow instructions there are 2 patch buttons:

i found it. played a patched game. it is legit.
I have gotten in to the habit of having a save for every 10 and 25 turns and then a third save for the turn prior to when I know I will be entering battle. I have found that the transfer to the battle screen is the place where the game mostly crashes for me. I haven't had this issue since Metasharps update but I'm still in the habit.
i thought the patch fixes it after i start useing it. it makes it a bit more stable but the game still crashes. found that out yesterday in a game where i didnt save it.

My old YT channel about Praetor Pyro and SWR was nuked after the State Department started demanding that YT ban every YT channel that had good things to say about Russia. Due to the fact that the gaming channel was linked to that Google account, that account also ended up being blocked. So, this channel no longer exists despite having been a helpful repository for SWR info.
This post is just to give a warning to anybody trying it in 2025 that in the instructions to install, there is a requirement to run the editor/patcher that is a link to the latest .NET Desktop runtime (currently 9.0.2), which WON'T WORK.
I had to get the one linked in the editor .exe window that warns you that you need it (version 8.0.13). With this one everything worked fine.
@Russian Orthodox Revolution, give me you new channel (or create one with just SWR content and i'll link it)
