Subdue Uprising
Does anyone know how to actually subdue an uprising using the 'subdue uprising' mission? What conditions do I need to achieve for an uprising to end? I could never figure out how this mechanic worked - even on the original release on CD ROM.

Of course. I go over it right here:

Note that it's different for the rebels. Subdue uprising missions are entirely dependent on leadership skills. Note that you sometimes still have to do a diplomatic "touch up" if a garrison requirement remains after the uprising is subdued.

Thanks dude. Yeah - I knew 'leadership' was the relevant stat. However, what I don't know is how many, if any, support troops - eg gorilla fighters - should be attacked to the mission. Furthermore, I don't know how the number of garrisoned troops affects the chance to subdue an uprising. It appears to but I don't know exactly how. My current approach is to just throw troops garrisons at it until the uprising ends. When it finally does seems to be entirely arbitrary which makes me think I'm missing something.
