Ship textures messed up
It's been a few months since I fired up Rebellion. When I play now the ship textures are all messed up. What gives?

Come to #TechSupport channel on the Star Wars Rebellion Discord at https://discord.gg/gqTQB5w. There's a message I pinned at the top that tells you how to fix that.

Extract the MS subfolder into your main game folder.

I signed into the discord group. I didn't really see what the fix is. What's the cause? It seems like whatever patching was done recently in Windows 10 it tripped something.

No need to join the Discord group. Just click the link Preator Pyro provided.
For everyone having graphical issues in space battles this is your go-to solution!
Super easy, just extract some files and that's it. Virus free, checked it multiple times.

I used this method and it worked but (very minor) gripe that there's now a VgVoodoo watermark in the bottom right as I play a space battle. Any way to get rid of that?

Putting that MS folder in my game folder didn't do anything.

No, you have to extract the files from the MS folder into the main game folder.

That work perfectly well for me, really a big thank's cause since the last patch on Win 10 the graphic where all mess up in the combat phase. Thank's to you, this is now past and I will keep play that wonderful game. One of the best of the kind :)

dgVoodoo2 is flagged by both Windows Defender and Norton / Symantec as dangerous or a virus.

You need the deprecated DirectDraw 2.0 files in the game folder, the most recent supplied versions were for Windows XP/2003 server. Support ended with Vista. The original game installer and packaged directx installer would copy over the required files (older versions).

Got the same warning from Norton. Any idea if the file is safe?

It's not safe. It's probably got some Russian root kit or trojan in it.

Indeed - the fact that you feel the need to say 'Virus Free' makes me immediately suspicious...

Can some one here explain how to do this step by step. Please pretend I don't know next to nothing except computer basics.
