Anyone found a way to skip intro?

I find it annoying that I have to wait a few minutes for the protocol droids to give me an introduction to the game that I play a gazillionth time. Once I had a version that allowed skipping the intro with hitting ESC. Any way to do that with this version?
Honestly, it should be patched if its not possible.

I think that stopped working a while ago, because even before the steam version came out, the unofficial patch had broken that feature too. No idea why.
