I also wasn't sure though if it was because capturing Luke was your final victory condition too. I think I remember that if your opponent is losing, people start getting betrayed and captured more easily, don't they?
Not quite. He had nowhere to go. Not a single rebel planet or ship was available. So, he got captured on the way back.
