Local multiplayer DO IT
Put this in your game, what is wrong with you? You did it with Pac-Man Battle Royale and that was a blast in the arcade. I'm not buying your slightly expanded rehash of championship when it doesn't have local multiplayer.

FIGURE IT OUT.

Not buying.

That was the one reason I was looking forward to this one, sad to see these idiots didn`t include it yet again. My gf and I frequently take turns playing the first one wondering WHY THE HELL can`t we play together... yeah...

"Hey Namco, see this single player game you've made that was carefully designed to be played by a lone player? Yeah, cram multiplayer into it!"

No.

This, right here, is the issue with a lot of people on Steam. They expect local multiplayer to be thrust into [game], even if it's designed to be singleplayer. It's not that simple, guys.

And you can't just render two separate mazes, either. That'd potentially stress out weaker machines. You gotta design a game for local multiplayer in order for it to be local multiplayer.

Someone give this guy a cookie. You can't design every game to have online or local co-op or multiplayer - it just doesn't always work out! Or worse, adding something by player demand could literally be disasterous!

Seriously? Why can't you have both modes? Why can't they do the multiplayer different from the single player? They did it once before with Battle Royale in the arcade. They don't need to "thrust it" in.

This is like going into a bicycle store and asking for their finest BMX, only to get mad because it isn't a tandem bike.

It was not designed with the intent of being played by more than one player, and turning it into multiplayer would require a complete reconstruction of the game, one that they would likely deem to not be worth it. If you think they "can just do it" and start slamming their hands on a keyboard until they ♥♥♥♥ out a mulitplayer mode that is both good and functional you are seriously underestimating the effort that is required when making these games.

I can't believe there're STILL people asking for this.
It was not designed to be a multiplayer game.
Stop crying about it.
Deal with it.
Don't like it, don't buy it.
Oh, you're not buying because of that? Oh, no! What are we gonna do??!?! u.u

Go play other Pac-Man games with multiplayer feature.
My god...

That may have been the worst analogy you could come up with

Are you a share holder or something? You sound like you care too much about something you apparently don't care about.

Here's the deal. People asked for multipalyer in the first Championship game. Why? Because they liked the game and wanted to enjoy it with their friends, competing at the same time. Three years pass by and the sequel comes out. Still no multiplayer option.

What is wrong with asking for multiplayer? Who cares if it wasn't designed for it. We're asking them to ADD A NEW DESIGN THAT SUPPORTS IT. Not cripple the existing design. Who ever said anything about ruining singleplayer to support multiplayer? No one.

It really isn't very far off though, especially not with the second guy referring to the devs as "these idiots". You are walking up to a product that was clearly made to serve a certain purpose, only to berate the devs for not making it fulfill some completely unrelated purpose as well.

As much as the word "entitled" is thrown around by morons in the gaming sphere, this kind of attitude falls under the very definition of entitled.

But that is what we're complaining about, they didn't address the request I had for the original, add multiplayer. Your argument isn't very good. You say it wasn't designed for X, so anyone who complains about X is invalid. That is the point of feedback and criticism.

For example, (according to your logic) if they had taken this sequel and instead of keeping the original feel, changed it to a first-person view, would you have been fine with it? I mean they just designed the game for that, so now if you put forth how you don't like it and want it a different way, too bad, you're wrong. Why? Because it was designed for it....

Come on.

Have you even *seen* this game? It's a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ mess with a single player, and it'd be roughly double if not triple the trouble if there were a second player involved. Nevermind just adding multiplayer, how in the ♥♥♥♥ would they fit multiplayer into these mechanics? The game is, to the core, designed for a single player. They could tack in multiplayer with the same mechanics as solo play but I reckon then you'd be complaining that it's an unplayable mess in multiplayer. They could add in multiplayer by altering the base mechanics, but quite frankly I'd imagine they'd have to alter them so much that it becomes a completely different game, and they likely wouldn't find it worth the resources to do so.

For the record, Pac-man Battle Royale is available right on Steam in Pac-man Museum so you could be playing that instead if you're really wanting local multiplayer pac-man.
