No.
And you can't just render two separate mazes, either. That'd potentially stress out weaker machines. You gotta design a game for local multiplayer in order for it to be local multiplayer.
It was not designed with the intent of being played by more than one player, and turning it into multiplayer would require a complete reconstruction of the game, one that they would likely deem to not be worth it. If you think they "can just do it" and start slamming their hands on a keyboard until they ♥♥♥♥ out a mulitplayer mode that is both good and functional you are seriously underestimating the effort that is required when making these games.
It was not designed to be a multiplayer game.
Stop crying about it.
Deal with it.
Don't like it, don't buy it.
Oh, you're not buying because of that? Oh, no! What are we gonna do??!?! u.u
Go play other Pac-Man games with multiplayer feature.
My god...
That may have been the worst analogy you could come up with
Are you a share holder or something? You sound like you care too much about something you apparently don't care about.
Here's the deal. People asked for multipalyer in the first Championship game. Why? Because they liked the game and wanted to enjoy it with their friends, competing at the same time. Three years pass by and the sequel comes out. Still no multiplayer option.
What is wrong with asking for multiplayer? Who cares if it wasn't designed for it. We're asking them to ADD A NEW DESIGN THAT SUPPORTS IT. Not cripple the existing design. Who ever said anything about ruining singleplayer to support multiplayer? No one.
As much as the word "entitled" is thrown around by morons in the gaming sphere, this kind of attitude falls under the very definition of entitled.
But that is what we're complaining about, they didn't address the request I had for the original, add multiplayer. Your argument isn't very good. You say it wasn't designed for X, so anyone who complains about X is invalid. That is the point of feedback and criticism.
For example, (according to your logic) if they had taken this sequel and instead of keeping the original feel, changed it to a first-person view, would you have been fine with it? I mean they just designed the game for that, so now if you put forth how you don't like it and want it a different way, too bad, you're wrong. Why? Because it was designed for it....
Come on.
For the record, Pac-man Battle Royale is available right on Steam in Pac-man Museum so you could be playing that instead if you're really wanting local multiplayer pac-man.
