The replays are definitely back.
What I don't like is the lack of support shown by Bandai-Namco thus far. It has been over a month since the Xbox One controller issues with the game were identified, yet there has been no status updates since then, let alone a workaround or fix provided.
i also don't have a bad pc and don't complain about obvious issues that are clearly your fault
the only issue i can see is how you can touch ghosts, but that's a necessary evil for the game's naturally higher difficulty of dx and is no different than the game slowing down in dx in practicality
the ghosts behave differently but are definitely not rng, with the ghosts doing the same things every single time i play with no change in pattern unless i play better or worse and affect their movement
Namco Bandai shill, this isn't Call of Duty Infinite Warfare. There is no excuse for this game to act up so badly, even on i7 laptops. There are several optimization issues here and the game is just as graphicially instense as DX... So they should give them a bad review for not even fixing up this simple game.
Controller issues occur depending on what you're using to play. Initially, Xbox One controllers were essentially impossible to use due to improper button/stick mappings. Bandai-Namco resolved those issue with the patch, but introduced slipperiness into the analog stick that makes controlling Pac very difficult, if not outright impossible. The d-pad on the X1 controller seems to work fine though and that's what I've been playing with.
For fun, I gave this game a go on my now ancient Alienware m11x. That system sports a Core2Duo CPU and an nvidia GT 335m GPU. Although CE2 did slow down a bit (introducing the period of "no music" that is talked about elsewhere) it was still fairly playable and ran pretty decently all things considered.
Apparently this game uses the Unity engine that, from what I've heard/seen, appears to be a resource glutton of sorts. I guess the most important thing to keep in mind is that this isn't a 2D Pac-man title, despite much of the game looking that way. Everything is rendered in full 3D. That said, I don't think the demands are as high as the system requirements on the store page make them out to be... but the game does require hardware at least several notches above what may have ran CE DX+ perfectly fine I think.
i imagine it's disappointing for those that ran dx+ to be unable to run its sequel but it's ultimately their fault for not having the pc power to play the game and their fault for spending money on a game they should know they can't have perform well
that said, this game should be like every other game and have low-end settings
hmmm so now your on our side... about bloody time
it's just that namco should've at least tried to appeal to those with weaker pcs like every other game nowadays, and blaming namco for its "bad port" is pretty untruthful when it isn't neccesarily their fault
