This game is TOO DIFFICULT
Not on a skill-based level, but because the game is broken... severely broken.

The game feels unfinished, there's no care given to the placement of the sleeping ghosts or the path of the mazes themselves. The ghost trains don't follow the lines they're given and often divert into direction not assigned to them. The game is riddled with bugs.

I seriously wish that some of these time restrictions were loosened a bit on adventure mode because they are unnecessarily tight, and the faster, crazier gameplay just makes it even more frustrating.

Why have a three star rating on every maze when you need all 222 stars to reach the final level? This makes the star rating pointless as it's a requirement to finish the game rather than an optional challenge. This is BASIC gameplay mechanics Namco! I know half of you didn't even finish the game because of the star rating.

There's no skill involved, it's the program determining if you win or lose, nothing else. Which means you could NEVER complete this based on that fact. A guy could sit and try to complete this in one sitting... they would starve to death! It's not down to skill at all it's down the route of the ghost trains, how many times the ghosts glitch off the path. Someone might beat a maze the first time, others, in a hundred tries and some people will never finish a certain maze because everything works against them. It comes down to this known tibid: There's no such thing as luck in video games. The only way to win is if the code lets you win...

I feel cheated by Namco... I would rate this game unfair or even unethical based on its difficulty... Sorting out the glitches and the blue ghost trains to be more fluent rather than jarring would make this a much more fun experience... but of course Namco never will because why care about the customer? If this is the future of Pac-Man and Namco in general... I want nothing more to do with them.

Overall, one of the most unpleasant experiences I've ever had with Pac-Man.

I agree. I don't think the same team that did DX did this one. DX was a masterpiece and CE 2 is a disaster. DX was great because it was all about skill and execution. CE 2 is all about getting lucky. They ruined the best mechanic from DX, which was eating ghost trains and made it a cut scene. what?!?!?!? on top of that you lose sight of pac man and get disoriented every time you eat a ghost. It's horrible horrible game design. This is my biggest gaming disappointment in years. I was SO looking forward to this game and now I regret buying it. The kick to the balls is that controller support is broken and they have refused to fix it. This is the last Bandai-Namco game I buy.

Its a shame what they have done with pacman. The game is only plinky plinky but under the hut its poorly programmed. The support from namco is the worst in the world.

It's fair for everyone, I just play time attack, not adventure. They do need to clean up whatever glitches someone does to get such a massive score on certain stages. I don't watch anyone's replay on this game only mine. Hopefully, they will remove those cheaters sooner than later.

Ghost trains will drift off the path if they collide with eachother. Just pay attention to their behavior and don't try to eat them by brute force. When you learn the patterns of thier AI you can pretty much make them do excatly what you want.

Also, sleeping ghost placement in this is better than it was in the first one, you're probably not following the dot paths correctly.

there isn't rng in how ghosts move
the closest to rng is when ghosts run away from you, but they can be baited into regions of the map if you're skilled enough

this game feels faster and seems generally harder than the prequel, but if you adapt to the changes and learn how to manipulate the ai, it gets a lot better

whoever made adventure the way is is should be blacklisted from pac man, just awful. Can't use bombs, bumping ghosts? Wha- I can't even-. This is beyond idiotic
