I've looked around the internet to change resolutions in a Unity game (Yes, this game is based on Unity). I have tried using the command-line Unity options to change the resolution or go into windowed mode, didn't work. I have tried using a program called DxWnd and it just gives a japanese error with two error codes: a 32-bit integer limit and error -01. I have tried changing the registry keys of this game, didn't work. Tried making the registry keys read-only for everyone, didn't work. Seems like the only to change the resolution is to change it in display settings of your operating system.
Still, what kinda ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ black magic does this game use? You know it uses black magic when the game decides to not give a ♥♥♥♥ about the registry keys being read-only or not and still lock at fullscreen, and just decides to ignore the Unity command-line options.
Must be something related to the exe file by itself.

TL;DR: you can't go into windowed mode due to how the game is probably PROGRAMMED to FORCE into full screen.

Found out that the same Japanese error was just a DRM error as I launched the exe from the game directory without any modifications. Still, DxWnd didn't work
WTF this is 2020, there's no reason we should be forced into fullscreen with NO resolution or graphics settings whatsoever.

It`s insane. I can't change resolution and windowed mode (and graphic quality), and I have 7 fps. It`s a freaky slide-show

Spotted this old thread while looking for an answer to this. It's an probably an obvious statement but I think the best you can do with this game is set your desktop resolution lower and hope for the best.

I've got my 'casual' games installed on a second machine (actually a server!) with and old 1030 GT. Dropping the desktop resolution (720p in my case) helped a fair bit but the boss stages still hammer the frame rate.
