Relaunch of target earth?
Is this just an undated target earth or is there more added or is this a whole new game from the line?

It's a remake of Target Earth. The final stage is a little different and there's a new final boss.
And voiced dialogue.

And their are two game modes, Classic has the objectives and enemy variety of the original. Arcade has some new bosses and other things.

I really enjoy it.

Thank you, I had to make sure before I got my hopes up. Target earth is one of the few games I still got the box and game for, does the cheat code at the start still work?

From what I've seen, doing the old stage 1 trick successfully still gives the all weapons bonus. I haven't been able to do it myself, though.

Awesome. I just tried to but i believe you almost have to do it in classic since you have to fight the one miniboss Dreadnought.

I was able to just get the No Sheild use and Save Zolskay objectives a few moments ago. Woot

Indeed, the old trick only works in Classic. In Arcade, the screen stops scrolling until you defeat that miniboss. One good thing is that now the drones' bombs don't kill their own allies, like in the original. Although it may be a little harder to pull off than in the original, since this game doesn't have a sprite limit: while you're dealing with the ship, you'll have 8~10 enemies pursuing and firing at you, all at once.

I mean the cheat code at the loading screen that gives like 30 continues.

Now it's an option, and it only gives you points (continues are infinite).

Holding start on Controller 2 used to work for Invincibility on the original Target Earth. It might have some analogue in this game.

If I remember right the second controller could control the friendly AI guys in the opening mission.
