Finding Mates
How, exactly, do you find mates?

I come back to this game ever couple months because I love the idea, controlling a clan of creatures as they navigate the world and evolve over time, but get turned away almost immediately. You see, every time, I die out after 2 or 3 generations because I can't find enough new animals to mate with. By now I've inbred until you can't anymore and am forced to spend the remaining time on my last nichling's life looking for a mate or even new clan member, just to keep the run going, to no success. It's so frustrating not being able to get a clan bigger than 2 or 3 and dying out after 40 days, while I see people boasting of having clans of 30+ in size. I genuinely don't know how to have an easier time extending runs.

Some islads have stumps that you can use to call for wanderers. That's how I do it the most.

Here's a reply on breeding and immunity genes:

And one to a different problem, with bits that have the same solution (concerning breeding):

In short, I don't find mates, I breed them. All you have to watch out for is that the breeding couple has 4 different immunity genes among them. (Adam starts with G* - I suggest you try to keep the * gene until you found Adam's Island - and Eve starts with AB.)

I don't think a too big tribe is a good idea anyway, they eat too much. :)

in the game, your more likely to find wandering ones the less nichlings you have. once you reach 40 they dont spawn. you dont aways need em
