How is it pronounced?

Ive heard multiple pronunciations of niche but idk what the official one is.

I looked it up myself a longgg time ago and there's no 'correct' way to say it. Dictionaries often have it down as both "nitch" and "neesh". A quick google search has even included "nish" as a way to pronounce it. Out of all of them, I think "neesh" sounds the cutest.

Neesh, to spell it like you would say it. I think part of the reason you find the 'i' in there in some searches is that some languages pronounce the 'i' like 'ee'. ^_^

But really, it all comes down to your native language and dialect, especially when you consider how different peoples would pronounce simple things like potatos and tomatos.

I never knew there were more ways to pronounce it! I say it as neesh as well.

I say "nitch". In academia I've heard people saying both ways, although "nitch" was more common. Same with data ("deita" vs "data").

The guy in the video on the store page says it 'Neesh' so I'd go with that.

It's weird but when I think of genetics i think "Neesh" but when I think of my job, I think "Nitch"
