Travel point with no flowers to sit on?
I'm playing the test_branch.

I travelled to the next island (going right), the new one has travel 4 points, N, S, E, W one each.

I've read that to follow the story I should go north, and whenever I can't, go right.

I'd like to go north, but that point is just a rock sitting on a flower bed, nothing for my folks to sit on to travel. I've loaded the save I made before travelling, and still got the same problem on a differently shaped island:

(I've turned the map for better visibility - how am I to tell what's north when I've done that, btw? Without having to reload the save, that is. :) )

Is this normal? Should I go right?

Thanks! :)

If you are unsure take a pregnant female and move her around on the tiles every tile she can't place a nest on is a travel port.
Looking at the port there should be 10 for your Nichelings

Not all ports have flowers on them. I'm not 100% certain but these non-sandy tiles may be the travel tiles, though they do look a little different. If you can duplicate the save then try from there.

Thanks much, both of you! :)

Btw, I tried a new island 4 times alltogether, and each one had no flowers on the north port. Wanted to play on though, so I loaded the one from the screenshot and stuck with that.

Good idea with the pregnant female. I noticed they can't build a nest on the port they arrived on, but hadn't thought to use that to test. :)
