It gives you a nice overview over what you should know.
Make sure that you have enough food and that you keep an eye on your immunity genes, you want different immunity genes (represented by the letters at the end of your Nichelings genetic bar). If the letters/ immunities of your Nichelings are the same your Nichelings will end up sick and sickness can spread if you don't quarantine the sick creature.
At the beginning I would focus more on getting a stable population and food. You won't be able to breed out hemophilia until generation 10 when it unlocks in the mutationmenu (or you do selective breeding).
It is also useful to make sure that your creatures are good at collecting as that is one of the easiest ways to get food, but don't lack to much in the strength department in case a bearyena comes your way :)
I'd suggest putting a nicheling at each berry bush, and breeding your best nichelings together. Each time they have a child, wait for the child to grow up and put them at a berry bush. You can give all of your nichelings jobs, like exploring, hunting, fishing, breeding, etc etc. It's a very imagination-oriented game, so keep that in mind :) after a couple of generations, you'll find a strategy that works well for you.. Good luck!
