What DOES work however (and this seems to be the case with moss brown on grass as well) is having red brown in the "second" fur slot and white "over" it in the first.. than you still get the bonus. You also get both grassland and mountain camou if you - for example - breed a cub with moss brown in one and red brown in the other fur spot, enabling it to move freely everywhere on the "easy" snow island without losing ever losing the bonus.
But yeah.. white off itself doesn't seem to give any camou what so ever.

Yes it's just +2 for hiding but should that get camo bonus points in the Mountains? Where did the white fur give bonus points earlier? I have no remembrance for camo in Mountains in earlier builds. :D
+4/5 happens when you have a) +2 hiding because in high grass COMBINED with +2 moss brown fur OR +3 pattern, namely stripes (both brings you up to +7 even)
And there's an equivalent of that with fur color + dots + high grass in the jungle biome. Also fur color + high grass in savannah stacks as well. In snow, since snow itself doesn't give hiding and there's no "helpful pattern" currently, it's only ever gonna be +2.
HOWEVER.. it should be +2 COLOR (not hiding) on snow tiles for WHITE fur creatures. That doesn't happen though. You get the +2 color for red brown fur (on snow tiles) instead. ^^
