I can't even imagine 200 Nichelings :0
my more clan-like tribes (depending the island) i normally get about 30-40
on some of my random, just-for-fun tribes i get about 20-30
same
it's mainly a side-effect of the auchipellago islands i think. i didn't want to let the population of the first island die off so i kept breeding them and so on, and eventually one island has immunity genes that others didn't have, so i had to breed up more to migrate to other islands, and they all have water body and slowly gaining fishing tail, so i'm breeding up more so some will be able to go into the ocean to collect food and nesting body etc.
on a group of eight islands, one hundred and fifty creatures is really only like, eighteen per island, so it's easy to think "this island needs more" and accidently wind up with twenty babies born in thre same turn.
Nice to see I'm not the only one lol
