It is exactly the other way around in my tribe. I have a ton of melanistic creatures but not that many albinos so I'd say none is raer, before I said albinism is rarer ^^

I experimented and melanism is dominant over albinism. I'm guessing it's just luck of the draw

I know for sure that melanism is more dominant, I had a creature with both, but only showed melanism in appearance, it countered the albinism.

It has really to do with luck. None of the apperences are rare. When you start a game it is 50/50. It has to dpo with what animals you find in the grass and the genetics Adam and Eve have. I`m pretty sure the can`t have the condicion, but they can have it hiden in there genes

Melenism is less rare then albinism. Reasons why? Well for one, The darker genes are more dominant in the geneum, and therefore melenism is more common then albinism, but just like albinism, both parents need to carry the melenism gene to be able to produce a child with melenism, and the chance that two people with the melenism gene meet and have a child is actually quite rare, and the same thing with albinism, but albinism is a bit rarer then melenism. Anyways, in niche it's a bit easier to get your animals to produce an melenistic, or alibinistic creature, do to the fact that you can see the animals genes, and that includes there albinism and melinism genes. I hope that clears things up about melinism and albinism.
