How to survive the jungle

I have heard a lot of people complaning about the difficulty of the new jungle biome and how the new apes are over powered. The point of the apes is not to kill them, even with 7 strength my creatures were whiped out in an instant. So I tried a new approch. Instead of trying to kill them, I adapted my creatures with toxic body, stinky tail, and velvet paw. My group is still living in the jungle and I rarely see the apes. I really hope Sheevee does not change the apes, I like them how they are. The point of the game is to adapt to your surroundings. The jungle is a start to this, when heat and coldness are added adaptation is going to have to happen as well.

I agree with you. The point is that the apes are above you in the food chain and a mouse does not defend from an eagle it runs away and adapts! That is the whole point and as you said with these genes you can survive in the jungle fine. I am living there right now and it takes some time getting used to, true and you'll loose some creatures to the apes and you will have to WORK to stay alive but that is the point in a SURVIVAL game.
I hope as well that the apes aren't changed, it would make the game to easy. I visited the killer island before and carnivores with 3 defense aren't enough you can take them out easily so I think the apes are a good challenge :)

Agreed. I like how this works. What bothered me before is that the biomes were so scattered there wasn't a point to evolving to one even if the temperature mechanics were in place. Now with this update you have to adapt to the enviroment of the island this being the food avilable, the biome and the predators. Basically your creatures will have to change depending on the island and not always how you want them to be.

Yeah and for me it allways felt to easy because i could beat the crap out of every carnivore and the thrill is to not be able to. The whole adaptation thing makes it even better. I really notice how the smelling ape only goes after the creatures which don't have a smelling tail and the seeing ape didn't even show up because all my creatures camouflage pretty well
