The in-game creatures have a lot of genes that affect their appearances and traits, so what if you were plopped onto the islands as a creature? What would your traits, abilities and appearance be like? My guess for myself:

Head: Cracker Jaw (Saber Fangs)
Eye Color: Green (Green)
Eyes: Short-sighted (Short-sighted) (Gotta be honest...)
Horns: Black/White Antlers (Antlers)
Mane: Brown/Brown
Body: Water Body (Water Body)
Paws: Claw and Claw
Hind Legs: Webbed Hind Legs (Webbed Hind Legs)
Tail: Swimming (Hammer)
Fur: Grey/Black
Pattern: Panda (Panda)
Blood Clotting: NBC (NBC)

As for the other genes... I don't know? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I've always liked the water so I'd be all aquatic and to keep things interesting I put my love of paleontology as recessive prehistoric genes. So what about you?

Oh, and don't include Fertility. We all know you'd just say 6.

Paws : Double claw (No predators are ever going to harm my pack!)

I think I'm gonna have to ignore some of the actual gene dominance in favour of accuracy :P
This would be actual me as a Niche creature:

Body: Normal Body, recessive Big Body

Paws: Nimble Fingers/Claw (because I always have long, kind of claw-like fingernails, but am very adept at creating stuff with my hands, f. ex. drawing)

Snout: Big Nose, recessive Normal Snout (because I'm good at smelling)

Eyes: Normal Eyes, recessive Short-sighted (Currently I've still got good eyes, but I'll probably turn short-sighted as time goes on)

Eyecolour: Brown, recessive Green, since there's no brown-green

Fur: Red/Black, mixed to get a nice chestnut brown

Hind Legs: Normal Hind Legs

Pattern: Ticked, like the cat pattern, recessive No Pattern (because my hair's got natural strands of slightly varying colours from the brown palette in it)

Horns: None

Ears: Normal Ears, recessive Big Ears (because my ears aren't unusually big, but I'm good at hearing)

Tail: Stinky Tail, recessive Normal Tail (because my hair is very long and bushy, like the Stinky Tail)
