can't change from knife to flashlight in campain mode.

When the girl in my ear says "you are goning to need a flashlight" part of the game, I cannot get the knife to switch to flashlight. Have tried the menus, changing controlers, rebooting. Stuck at this part of the game.. btw.. I LOVE THIS GAME!!! I have posted + reviews and think this is the best shooter/vr game out right now. I am just blown away.

Just so we make sure its not a bug, the way to switch to flashlight is:
On the hand with the knife, press the touch pad right and a menu should pop out of your knife. click again on the right option which should bring up your flashlight.

update.. actually it is all the menus on the flashlight. I can''t exit to main menu either...

But... you're holding the flashlight in your hand? Also you can't exit to main menu there because you're in the main menu.

ok, wrong screen shots.. i am in campain mode/town square. The starting "shoot here" menu never starts. The lady just keeps saying I need the flashlight.. Even shot around the area in case I just wasn't seeing it. any idea?

The only thing I can think of offhand is that the Vive controllers have issues with thumbpad presses on the edge of the thumbpad not registering. Try moving your thumb around on the thumbpad with the menu up; you should see an orange pip that corresponds with your thumb position. Press in the general area of the flashlight icon while this pip is visible.

ok, i can more the oragne pip around with out any problems. it highlighs the flashlight but then nothing happens. I checked out my keyboard to make sure I had no stuck keys but they all check out. Guess I am the only one having this problem so it very could be on my end. Kind of clueless here.

Once the flashlight is highlighted, you have to press the thumbpad like a button. Just making sure you're doing everything right!
