this game too hard for me

I feel like its glitched and running at 5x normal speed. I almost wanna return it because its so hard, but I wont :)

HAHA i just realized it WAS running too fast. I had V-sync off and was getting 165fps and it was so insanely fast I died over 100 times in first 10 mins of the game. V sync fixed everything, this game aint too hard

Do you have a 144hz monitor? A few people have had a problem where the framerate gets overridden. Does it run slower if you turn off VSync?

yea my bad, I was like wow how can anyone play this game I thought I must be getting old and my reaction time is just worse than everyones

Cool, that's my bad really - I should write some code that tests if the framerate is getting overridden and then turn off vsync automatically!

im just amazed I beat first 7 levels with it running so insanely fast
whole time im thinking "are you kidding me?" I felt like I was gonna have a seizure it was so damn fast

I would like to see that. Thanks for the super fast replies, I told my friends to buy this game. Reminds me of super meat boy in some ways.

Super meat boy was maybe the biggest inspiration for the game, along with VVVVVV and Hotline Miami.

Yup, I had the same problem, 144fps by default. Fortunately, turning off the vsync solves the problem, now i'm at 60. But yeah, you should fix that ;)

I finished 25 or so levels and then went to youtube to find out how the hell people were collecting all the atomiks at this speed

I am new to this game and just started playing today. Just want to say that this still happens. Even with the V-sync turned off. I had the exact same experience as OP and was baffled by the fact that this was even possible. Went to youtube to check, and surely mine was running too fast (165 hz screen).

It was solved by setting the game to windowed mode. But in full screen it was too fast. I do have G-sync. Maybe that's the reason.
