Classic old JRPG. Great story, art and music. Extremely well regarded, generally ranked among the best RPGs in many lists. It's incredibly easy through so that knocked it down a few pegs for me personally.

Indie JRPG, similar style. Characters and story pretty forgettable but it had some fairly interesting game mechanics to spice up the usual turn based JRPG formula.

Ara Fell started as a RPGMaker game before being ported to Unity. You can find a quite freeware RPGMaker JRPGs on RPGMaker net site I think, some good old gems there.
