Teleportation Crystals

Am I missing something on how to use the teleportation crystals? Just starting in chapter one, but it seems I'd have to remember the actual location of the nearest crystal to use them. Is that right, or should I be able to use them from the map anytime I like? Playing the Switch version if that matters.

That's correct, you have to be at one of the crystals to teleport. We tried to find a happy mix of convenience vs having the player explore and feel immersed in the world.

Yeah, its annoying. Most of that is due to the mostly-useless map, combined with sticking most of them behind one of those samey-looking entrances. I think I only remember one being outside...

Okay thanks just making sure I wasn't missing something. It's actually pretty easy to just walk everywhere in this game anyway :)

yeah at first the map is a little difficult to get your bearings on and you'll have remember where the crystals are but after you find them its not a big deal.
