A MILLION BUG FIXES! Patch 1.1
Hey all, we've released the first major patch on Steam! Thank you all for reporting the bugs you found, and for being patient over the last couple weeks while we've been working on fixing them.

Given that this is our first patch, we're going to wait and see how it does for a day before we start the process to push it to other platforms.
Here's the full list of changes:

WORLD

-Fixed light and shadow layers - map lighting should be waaay more enjoyable now
-Fixed misc. impassable tiles
-Fixed misc. missing tiles
-Fixed misc. map teleporters resulting in a stuck spot
-Stepping on the teleporter at the end of the Arei obstacle course now teleports you instead of needing to press OK
-Fixed issue with Adrian disappearing in the Hunting Range
-The screen now properly resets to its original position after screen shakes complete
-Fixed battle music in Holy Land after teleporting there
-Fixed battle music in East Dian's Gulley
-Fixed battle music after fighting the star witch
-Fixed old man NPC quest conditions in Temple Orlian
-Fixed vendor nun in Orlian Temple basement after completing ghost busters quest
-Fixed a stuck spot in the outdoor area of the Cave of Life
-The apple toss mini-game will get slightly easier if you fail it multiple times
-Fixed player double sprite after the Ziam battle
-Fixed the Talani vendor icon in Eldrinor
-Fixed Lita and Adrian overlap on bridge outside of Aloria
-Fixed potential event command weirdness in the intro

QUESTS

-Fixed issue with turning in bounties without ever receiving the quest
-Fixed issue where the Bunny Girl Bandit quest would never complete. **For anyone with this issue, talk to the bounty collector in Aloria to have it get completed**
-The apothecary no longer steals all of your wasp wings

UI

-Added the ability to change the highlight color via the settings menu. This won't properly take effect on the title screen.. just ignore that please!
-When pixel perfect mode is off and the screen is wider than 16:9, the game will now fill the entire height of the screen and will set the width to whatever the corresponding value should be in order to be 16:9. If this causes anyone to see seams, you can turn pixel perfect mode back on!

COMBAT

-Added a new "Fast Battle Animations" option in the video settings that doubles the speed of attack and skill animations in battle
-The player icons now appear above the ult bar instead of below it
-The ult bar now charges at the end of the round instead of the beginning (this includes when combat ends!)
-The anticipation enchantment works now
-The "Might of the Abyss" achievement can now be unlocked when the difficulty is set to story mode (but the story mode ability won't unlock it!)
-The game will no longer hang on a black screen occasionally after combat ends
-Fixed the text position of skills being used by fire sprites in the Holy Land

SKILLS

-Lita's Holy Strength augmentation for the Elven Focus skill now properly adds to physical damage as well as magical
-The AoE version of Lita's charged shot no longer occasionally skips over enemies

MISC

-Added the game version number to the title screen
-Updated some dialogue text
-Vendors now reset when they're supposed to

LEGACY SUPPORT

-Fixed the issues surrounding the game failing to inform users about how to launch the legacy version of the game when old save files are detected
PS4-specific
-Added the ability to toggle "Pixel Perfect" mode on/off, which will add black borders around the game when it can't perfectly fit the screen, in order to prevent pixel stretching
-Added a few minimal video settings
Switch-specific

Xbox-specific

iOS && Android

-Removed the erroneous video settings
-Pixel perfect is now disabled by default, to have the game fill the screen
-Added instructions to the first-time-user screen, removed all of the settings options except for Language, and added a note about being able to configure the controls in the Settings menu
-Touchscreen controls are now visible by default
-Pressing a button on a gamepad no longer makes the touchscreen buttons appear
-The game now supports both landscape left and landscape right screen orientation

Thanks! I like grinding, but ~20 hours in, unskippable & unspeedable animations were starting to wear me down :)

Another welcome QoL change -- it was a bit annoying having to juggle attacks so that one enemy stays alive at the end of the first round just to recharge the ultimates, Especially when the combat seemed to be specifically designed to avoid such scenarios, like with full heal after every battle so the boring strategy of "leach everyone to full HP/MP" is not only suboptimal but completely eliminated.

These two changes by themselves will make an already great combat system twice as enjoyable :cozybethesda:

Great to see the bugs squashed - except one. Hannah is still as greedy as ever. I went in with 36 wasp wings and instead of taking 10 she took the lot. Fortunately I'd decided to save before approaching her, so reloaded and went to Castle A to sell the surplus first. But I kept one extra back, just to double check, so I spoke to her with 11 in the inventory. Sure enough, she took the spare as well.

This one isn't working for me. I try to talk to the bounty collector, he thanks me but the quest is still in my quest log and i can still talk to him about it etc.

It's still doing it sometimes.

Also, maybe I'm misremembering what used to happen, but when loading or saving it automatically selects the first save file, not the last one used. My memory is that it used to be the last used save file which it selected.

The bug with the Bunny Girl still exists.
I randomly ran into her before I got the task from the bounty collector. I got the message that I completed the quest but it´s still an active quest in the menu.
Seems I won´t get the achievement.

Glad you're enjoying the game! I think that quest issue will resolve itself once you've completed the other bounties later in the game, so you should still be able to unlock the achievement.

Hey! Same here, I'm wondering if there was a fix that came out for this? I'm trying to get the bounty/side quest achievements. I defeated bunny girl before ever talking to the bounty hunter and i've successfully completed all the other bounty quests. Or if theres a way for me to edit my save file if that'd be easier. Thanks!

It should complete the quest once you've finished all of the bounties. Did it not? I'd be more than happy to fix your save file if that's the case, just send a save file to hello@stegosoftgames.com, please! Save files are located at:

In GOG version 1.01, it still does, although relatively infrequently.
