On the other hand, again - now you have options, even if they are slightly luck dependant mostly.
The key is having good enchants to complement your builds for good breakpoints.
As for classes.. I think they were at least initially planned as being 'team A' and 'team B' possibilities as the classes from 1st and 2nd window seem pretty synergetic if you do it that way overall.
The 1st class choice is usually - the 'solid standard', essentially like 'old balance'.
The 2nd class is usually a 'niche' but fun option.
Def on tank DOES work if you stack mostly it but don't rely only on it too much by itself, pair it with reflecting and a bit agi for occasional random dodge as well.
Altho you could also go for full def honestly but I prefer being able to move 1st for taunt purposes and such with him while still getting some advantage out of it via dodge.
What I ended up with was:
Ranger lita - not really a choice, ranger is just too much better.
Holy charged shot potency to deal huge single target damage. Elven focus for 10% extra dmg.
Scout to increase crit chance even further.
The build is mostly near full glass cannonish crit enchanted.
Ulti: stun enemy - can be HUGE deal and imo main ulti for non trash mob fights.
Paladin Adrian - honestly in terms of skill usefulness I think the berserker is better... but paladin gets to keep shield and gets +50% block on taunt which is too important to pass up.
Reflect is kinda disappointing as it's barely an upgrade.
HP restoration over MP restoration all the way IMO as MP is non issue the more you play.
His build is full def + block enchanting + a little agi to move before most enemies.
His ulti is great vs trash mobs that you need over 2 turns on as it gives 20% ulti charge back hence you can use it vs trash setups when paired with seri channel before finishing enemy.
Occultist Doren - another debatable choice.
I chose occultist mostly for +10% crit from alter time.(meaning with scout from lita you only need 85% crit chance to crit 100% of the time)
You should heal enough anyway by being strong enough and a little help from paladin mark, hence pure heal version of his is something I found slightly inferior.
His build is all over the place being a mix of everything essentially...
He got a bit def so he doesn't die to something random, got some agi to start before enemy, got enough magic to never need mana, got power to make his heal full heal for all aside of super low HP tank.
His power is also no joke vs single target version of holy blast - he just rarely has chance to use it as he mostly heals/increases damage of someone(in case of lita ulti for example)
Only ever used his ulti when debuffs were a problem.
Seri elementalist - not really a choice IMO.. battlemage is a bit too niche to be useful.
She is yet another pure dps like lita + provides some additional support via Ice magic to decrease enemy dmg by 20%, lightning damage to increase next 3 hits damage(nice before you ulti boss with lita and overall nice damage increase)
Never used earth magic.
Channel is nice for harder trash mobs fights with many enemies - you need to use taunt of adrian to be guaranteed survival.
Ulti on seri almost never saw any use aside of the very early game as vs boss you usually need lita's ulti and vs mass enemies you usually need mass taunt.
There are many more ways to play but that's the one I found the most safe and fast.
