BigBox (Launch box emulator hub) + Steam Link + 360 controller, controller can launch games, but inactive in game

I set up the controller to work in the game, dont both on the PC, then again in the emulator, while still in steam link mode.

The controller does not respond once a game is opened. Sometimes pressing start will just close a game (not always depending on the settings I've tried).

Will this program help fix my problems? I bought it, but don't understand how to use it. Not as user friendly as I had hoped.

Just to be clear: Games work on the PC with the controller in regular and big picture mode. Steam link with the dongle attached to the steam link instead seems to mess it up somehow, and I can navigate big screen, and big box (emulator hub), but once a game actually launches, the controls don't do ♥♥♥♥, except sometimes just close the game.

So, any advice?
