I mean, it works perfectly when I plug in the Xbox Wireless Adapter into a USB-Port on my Linux machine.
What I need (but does not work yet) is the following: Plug the dongle into the USB-Port of my Steam Link and then forward it via VirtualHere to my Linux machine.
Could you please make that work with VirtualHere? Can't be a big deal I guess.
Thanks in advance.
Yes, the latest build of the Steam Link Firmware (which has been released yesterday) now also includes driver support for the Xbox One Wireless Adapter / Dongle. Thus the Steam Link now supports the Xbox One Wireless Controller natively, not only via Bluetooth but also via Xbox One Wireless Adapter / Dongle, which is great!
Though, forwarding the Xbox One Wireless Adapter / Dongle via VirtualHere from the Steam Link to another Linux Machine where the xow driver is installed ( https://github.com/medusalix/xow ) doesn't seem to work. Which is, of course, not really a problem anymore, now that the Steam Link itself supports the dongle. Just wanted to say, VirtualHere ist not capable of dealing with it, but this doesn't matter for me personally anymore, I would only have needed this feature if the Steam Link itself still wouldn't support the dongle.
