In the virtualhere client right click on the device "Thrustmaster Racing Wheel FFB" and select properties , and tell me the vendor id and product id.
Vendor: Thrustmaster
Product: Thrustmaster Racing Wheel FFB
Vendor ID: 0x044F
Product ID: 0xB66D
Adress: 112
Just to be sure, i have the T3PA 3-Pedal-Set from Thrustmaster but i dont think thats the Problem because there is no Wheel Rotation recognized also. Hope the Infos help.
Allright hopefully ther is a solution
Same here :-)...allready in my shopping cart to buy it if virtualhere don´t works
If not, i think also the steamlink firmware may need a small update from valve.
(When the steamlink selects the wheel (in the steamlink menu) it will select on the (Vendor ID: 0x044F Product ID: 0xB66D) in ThrustMaster FFB mode but when the wheel reboots itself and calibrates it comes back as ThrustMaster T300 Wheel which should be selected automatically, however this is a different Product ID, so im not sure if it will automatically select it, if its not let me know)
It seems one of the symptoms was win 7 drivers were being installed by VH rather than W10. The root cause of this was either that Steam was set to run in Win 8 compatibility mode (right click steam.exe select properties under compatibility tab) OR because of some strange registry settings I had because I ran a program called Stardock Start 8, which is supposed to be a menu front end to make W10 look a bit like W8.
Either way, the T300RS wheel now works via steam link having unselected win 8 Combatibility, uninstalling Start 8 (and making sure the damn wheel switch is in the right position!).
Hopefully this post will be useful to others and might save Michael some of the time he spent messing about on my machine! Thanks again sir!
tested the update and now the T300RS Works. But now I have a big problem with frame loses in Asseto Corsa and Race Room. If I play without the wheel everthing works fine. Is there a option that i miss?
* reduce the game resolution
or
* run virtualhere on another device e.g do you have a router you can ssh to, or know much about the raspberry pi? If so i can send you a license for one of those
- VirtualHere 4.3.7
- T300RS Firmware 28
- SteamLink Lastest Version
The game works fine with the xbox controller.
But unplayable with T300RS through VirtualHere.
I notice something, when I leave the game, in Big Picture menu (steam link), it is going down like the down pad arrow is pushed. I think it's something with the pedals of the T300RS.
Maybe this bug send to much info and I loose frames ?
Anyway, I can try to install VirtualHere on my raspberry pi on the same network or try with a laptop runing on the same network ?
It seems we are reaching the limit of what a lync unit can do, so it would be useful for Steam to release a version with more capacity and a 1GB network adapter.
