The level 25 version has 3 100 round belts.
People can resupply you with 100 round belts only.
i have mg at lvl 50
The MG42 fires 10 bullets in 0.5 seconds. What are you on about?
A 100 round belt is 5 seconds worth of ammunition. Also I think the MG42 actually fires a tracer roujd every 10 seconds. So ten tracer rounds in a belt. Maybe you're counting them or something.
What he meant is that when we we fire off the first 2 belts, and sometimes we can reload again and those following clips are half filled or closed to empty.....like some residual belts (happens only in 50lvl mg42 and even the DP28, you get half filled or closed to empty mags.
Yeah, I experience it too, thought it was some reserve ammo and I have not even reloaded halfway through either. I rarely do COD style reloads.
Also why is reloading when not empty a cod style reload?
Its mostly effective in COD and Battlefield series where even if you reload half way, the ammo gets neatly stacked.
In RO2, the previous half done clip will be in reserve when you change to a full mag....and the rest follows your half done mags.
Yup, this is what its supposed to do.
But sometimes, when I reload the MG 42 after fully firing off the 2 belts, I can still reload again and those will be residual belts that are half filled and closed to empty, same with the DP28.
Seems to me like a glitch of sorts.
Its there in the Vanilla version too.
Exactly this. And yeah, it's supposed to be the two belts. This game isn't exactly flawless though, as much as I love it.
Level 99, fully leveled MG42. Happens all the time in Ro2 - honestly I haven't played as a German MG in HotW yet since I play Allies a lot lately, but I can only assume it will happen in the mod as well.
Doing some testing I've found it isnt an ammo box issue. The ammo box will top up your 100 round belt to be a 250 round belt. Or if you have no extra belt it will give you a full 250 round belt.
So it's probably related to player resupplies.
