Favourite Weapon of Heroes

Is there any meaning for the favourite weapon of Heroes mentioned when hiring them? And where can I look up the favourite weapon of my heroes later once they are allready hired? In fact whenever favorite weapon is sword I fire my heroe, because sword is bad weapon compared, than I hire and hire again until I get a heroe with favorite weapon Axe for example because Axe is much better compared to sword. But is all this necessary, fire and hire and try again? Does this favorite weapon really has any meaning in fight? Do I really get a punishment in battle when using other / better weapon than favorite weapon? All this I'd really want to know in order to plan my tactic carefully.

atm it seems to be useless with favorite weapon and yes its sad to not have choice to see their favourite weapon after buying them! And yes atm there are just two kind of weapons u can good use axe and spear! scythe is still weaker as axe and spear give avoid instead of crit dmg, but its ur choice which units need crits and which avoid/dodge!

I have changed a few stats for next Patch - swords and scythes will be buffed.
I was wondering if you found a Hammers are good weapon?

i guess some melee units using hammer or club weapon but once club(hammer weapon i ever saw in game is weapon from set "adam the supporter"!

Wow today I got a dwarf: favorite weapon hammer. In smithery I crafted him a level 5 hammer immediatly. In my opinion Hammer is a good weapon for dwarf enhancing his 15% stun +9% to 24% stun. So for my dwarfs I really like the new hammer.

But again, does the mentioned favorite weapon status has any real meaning in battle or is this just adornment to make hero description somewhat more interesting when hiring them?

Just checked out the game after the newest patch, but still I can find nowhere to read what the current favourite weapon of each hero is? Do I need to take a pen and paper and write it down whenever I hire a new hero? Is there really no place in the game where I can read and check out what hero uses what favorite weapon? Or did I just miss something?

'Take it off' - empty weapon slots shows off type of favorite weapon.
I`ll add that hint to attack/damage description as well - that will help too.

I hope we can eventually change a heroes favourite weapon.

i guess if heroes using their favorite weapon, then they get special bonus like +5 damage or +2% critical hit or whatever! Becuz using favorite weapon without bonuses would be useless or same like without them^^

Yes I am in the latest version 1.620 and I made a screenshot. I have put the mouse over the empty weapon slot, neither howering nor clickholding shows any information. Just an empty black field on the down edge.

But how can I send my screenshot here on screen. Is there a way to attach this screenshot?

Just look at shadow at weapon slot - it will have a shape of favorite weapon(I ll double that with text on hint in next patch)

Aaaahhhhh yeeees the shadow shows the shape of the weapon. I was searching for a text on the bottom. The shadow itself is indicating the favorite weapon, now I got it. Yes of course, the shadow is showing propperly the weapon shape. Everything fine now. Thanks for your effort.
