i know of one possible one and one certain one,
the one im certain off is the feather of giblet, when you reach the shrine on the way to verrnex (before going through the cave that leads to the cloak of spiders) you come across a shrine, fill it with gold till its brimming (200) then you get it
the second (which may not be an artifact) is where you need a high relationship with your foster parent and after speaking to them after returning from the ruins they will give you a ring that imporves all stats by 3

Riiight the ring, completely forgot about it. Its probably counted as an artifact i imagine. Im pretty sure that not summoning demons is a requirement to get it along with the relationship. Correct me if im wrong.

And the feather.... interesting, i tried to get it once by putting lots of gold on the shrine, but if i remember correctly it needed a certain level of evilness to work. Care to tell me what it does so i can add it to the list?

by the way with the cloak of spiders if you have a high level of relgion and good or evil (not certain about good) then you can command the skeletons to collect the robe for you, it then gets put on a higher pedestal but you can still collect it through different level checks

Nice. Definetly sounds like high evil is needed, i had a couple of high religion characters but always good ones and all you can do is destroy them with a prayer then.

for the feather you need 70 evil and you cannot steal the shield even if you rob him. Also there is a magic dagger you can obtain if you do the thief line in the second city

Thanks for the info, will edit. If you could provide details about the dagger and its exact boni that would be great.

Sure, it doesn't do anything in its present state besides help you rob the trader's cart(dispels a magic barrier), but you can unlock its full potential if you take it to the wizard's academy in the second game. It gives a +3 bonus to stealth, devices, and agility after that but hints it may have another purpose later in the game

theres a similar deal with a strange amulut you can recieve as a preist, if you travel to tornassa in the second story then you track the mysterious amulut down to a cult to an unknown god
as a good religious person you can ether call upon your god to destroy the shrine (for good) or you can convert to this new diety (for 10 evil) once again its implied this will have a higher impact in the third story (given that if you join the cult this new god claims he will soon rise)

Holy water doesn't work on skeletons when trying to get cloak of spiders. They just step around it.

Are you sure? Maybe it has a certain skill requirement, I thought i used it on them once successfully.

It probably does. There's no other use for holy water in the game (that I've found)
Any idea what class you were?

The only use for holy water i've found is one of the choices to defeat the vampire if you choose to go to the wilderness at the end of act one with peter/petra

Gloves of Archery require 30 devices and lockpick set.

I've gotten the Gem of Perception with wounded Thea once. In this case, the guards were trapped inside the ruins. I speculate the conditions of acquiring it are 1) help Thea ransack the ruins, and 2) make a clean getaway by successfully dealing with the guards somehow.

In addition to the uses already mentioned, the Cloak of Spiders also allows you to avoid 50 damage in the fight with Thuja (without it, you have to check 50 agility or 50 strength to avoid the damage). This gives you new options in the fight. Getting it requires 4 steps (maybe sometimes only 3, depending).

1. First, on the way to Vernex near the end of the game, you need to find the hallway leading to it. I think there are four ways to locate it, though I only remember the exact requirements for two of the checks: religion, perception, history 60, or having the Gem of Perception.

2. Defeat the skeletons in the area. There are many options. According to this thread, at least the following will work: magic, holy water, or high Peter/Petra relationship. I've only ever used magic; unsure what the stat requirements are or if any of the other choices work.

3. Disarm the traps. You can check for traps, ask Gill/Gale to check for you, or simply reach for the cloak. IIRC the last option requires 60 endurance; the other two check devices and Gill/Gale relationship, though I don't know the exact amount.

4. I've always asked Gill/Gale to help me, which results in the cloak raised up out of reach on the pedastal. Karl/Karla can shoot it down for you if your relationship is high enough (not sure of exact number). You can also climb the pedastal, though I have never tried this option; probably checks agility; climbing gear might come into play here. I never carry a bow, but I speculate you can shoot the cloak down yourself with a bow and sufficient archery skill.
