the one im certain off is the feather of giblet, when you reach the shrine on the way to verrnex (before going through the cave that leads to the cloak of spiders) you come across a shrine, fill it with gold till its brimming (200) then you get it
the second (which may not be an artifact) is where you need a high relationship with your foster parent and after speaking to them after returning from the ruins they will give you a ring that imporves all stats by 3
And the feather.... interesting, i tried to get it once by putting lots of gold on the shrine, but if i remember correctly it needed a certain level of evilness to work. Care to tell me what it does so i can add it to the list?
+20 Charm :) . And yes, you need a certain level of evil to get it....
Nice. Definetly sounds like high evil is needed, i had a couple of high religion characters but always good ones and all you can do is destroy them with a prayer then.
Thanks for the info, will edit. If you could provide details about the dagger and its exact boni that would be great.
as a good religious person you can ether call upon your god to destroy the shrine (for good) or you can convert to this new diety (for 10 evil) once again its implied this will have a higher impact in the third story (given that if you join the cult this new god claims he will soon rise)
Are you sure? Maybe it has a certain skill requirement, I thought i used it on them once successfully.
Any idea what class you were?
I've gotten the Gem of Perception with wounded Thea once. In this case, the guards were trapped inside the ruins. I speculate the conditions of acquiring it are 1) help Thea ransack the ruins, and 2) make a clean getaway by successfully dealing with the guards somehow.
In addition to the uses already mentioned, the Cloak of Spiders also allows you to avoid 50 damage in the fight with Thuja (without it, you have to check 50 agility or 50 strength to avoid the damage). This gives you new options in the fight. Getting it requires 4 steps (maybe sometimes only 3, depending).
1. First, on the way to Vernex near the end of the game, you need to find the hallway leading to it. I think there are four ways to locate it, though I only remember the exact requirements for two of the checks: religion, perception, history 60, or having the Gem of Perception.
2. Defeat the skeletons in the area. There are many options. According to this thread, at least the following will work: magic, holy water, or high Peter/Petra relationship. I've only ever used magic; unsure what the stat requirements are or if any of the other choices work.
3. Disarm the traps. You can check for traps, ask Gill/Gale to check for you, or simply reach for the cloak. IIRC the last option requires 60 endurance; the other two check devices and Gill/Gale relationship, though I don't know the exact amount.
4. I've always asked Gill/Gale to help me, which results in the cloak raised up out of reach on the pedastal. Karl/Karla can shoot it down for you if your relationship is high enough (not sure of exact number). You can also climb the pedastal, though I have never tried this option; probably checks agility; climbing gear might come into play here. I never carry a bow, but I speculate you can shoot the cloak down yourself with a bow and sufficient archery skill.
