Pretty much this..it is funny that people say that this kind of answer is 'not contributing' when in the same breath, they give what is nothing more than opinion, same as the answer they condemn. Factually speaking, there is no 100 page analysis that examine every aspect of every class' gameplay to determine "the best"..so it all returns to opinion.
The best classes in PvP have very accessible invulnerability + super armor buttons, and/or massive hitboxes that deal massive damage.
Still need to see a few classes in action, but Shadow Mage, Valkyrie, and Galactic Lord are all S-tier in PvP. I would put Shadow Mage a little bit above Galactic because his mobility makes him a bit more oppressive.
At the moment, gear (attack/defense power) seems to be irrelevant in PvP. The damage you deal seems to be dependent on your class, and all 3 of these classes can kill you off of 1 mistake if their cooldowns are off. Their buttons are also very safe.
What people are saying about every class having the potential to win is technically true, but some classes require more work than others to produce a result. Some classes have to take higher risks in order to receive the same reward as others.
I would say to play whichever character you think looks fun, because there's still room to get creative in PvP. But if you want a GUARANTEE that you're picking a balls-to-the-wall character, then Shadow Mage, Valkyrie, and Galactic Lord are all safe bets.
At least in the old game, a LOT of people went with DB for it's supposed ease of use. But really, in the end, any good player with any good build (or enough credit card line) can make any class go to the top of both pvp and pve. Just don't believe what the skill descriptions say and try the builds yourself.
and there's no early game if your first character is 70 lvl
atleast rn when there's an event.
