What I really like about this game is how everything is important. People will take a drink, eat something, go for some activities and then go to sleep. If you want to please everyone you have to build everything and price it correctly to make sure people will leave with empty pocket and positive attitude. It was all about balancing between profit and reputation. But with the Gamble den everything seems worthless. Put everything super cheap to get reputation, make the fee entry of the gambling den to 50+, put only 1 slot machine to avoid getting too much jackpot and put a tons of smoking chair and price them to 20+. Gold with rain from the gambling den and since you have very few slot machine you'll almost never lose money even if people hit the jackpot. At the moment my profit are 2k per months with 1.5k being only from the gambling den.

Not only I find this a little bit game breaking but while EVERYONE is in the gambling den all of my other room are empty and feel useless. I have the feeling that I could just throw 3 bar, few dinning table and one big Gambling den to win this level and this is very frustrating.

I would like the gambling den to be only a rogue activities, like arcane room for wizard/mage and gymnasium for knight/fighter. At least my wizard/fighter would use the rooms I builded for them instead of losing all their money in casino.

hmmm, valid point there, tbh. I've been thinking something similar since gamling den was introduced. I take your point seriously and I will think about this for a bit and see what I can do to balance the gambling den profits.

the one slot machine trick is something that I didn't anticipate during development so that can be worked on but as a whole, I am thinking of some new features that would bring balance to the game other than just straight out nurfing the feature.

As for rogues, I do already have a room for that class, butchery/slaughter house type of room. I have graphical assets ready but haven't fleshed out how it will work.

Thanks for the answer. I found it really frustrating to see all my guest room, arcane study and gymnasium empty :'(

Great job on all the other improvement (like the finance tab).

The specialzed Casino things modders can do. Just build a solid base, so they can ;)
Maybe levels, which need a gambling room need to have special goal for it like certain amount of profit or visitors. Gambling is made for making profit. Gambling wish can be a mix of random guests but also higher percentage on certain guests. Drunk guests maybe want to use a slot machine more often than sober guesst, drunk guests could not only puking all the time, they could be starting tavern brawls, flirting with the maids and go on the rampage demolishing inventory. Than we will need to higher some bouncers :P

I tried it the other way - lots of slot machines ... That's the quickest way to lose with 1:100 payouts!!

Maybe implement "coolers" as a type of employee? NPCs that can change the luck factor?
