There ll prob be a feature in the future to stop or avoid it (like a bouncer or something), but for now the only thing you can do is managing you rep better, as long as you are not getting lots of negatives from your other guests it shouldnt be a issue since even a couple positives points from guests, killing rats or busting kids are enough to cover it.
As far as reservations go, I don't accept reservations until I have a room for each of the types of visitors. Once I have those rooms, I won't accept a group larger than 6 until my tavern is fully built. I'm not sure if this helps with what I feel is a low level of fighting, but perhaps it also contributes.
