For anyone who lands here, I had to temporarily uninstall Visual C++ 2017 (64 and 86) before my system would let me install the 2015 versions. I read on another board that 2017 is backwards compatible which is the reason 2015 won't load when 2017 is present.

I had to do this for Fallen Enchantress as wouldn't run as admin without VCRUNTIME140.dll from the 2015 Visual C++ installation.

I had the same issue. Don't know why it happened but found an easy fix: I went to "add or remove programs" and ran through all Microsoft Visual C++ with "modify" --> "repair". worked after that and I don't have 2015 installed

i have downloaded on the Microsoft website and repaired via the "Add or Remove Programs" and nothing has changed still not letting me open the game. started as an intermittent crash now today i cant open the game at all. thx microsoft.

I downloaded x64 and x86. I can't open any game. God..this is so frustrating.

I downloaded the x86 version, installed it and then ran the exe manually as administrator by right clicking on it. Nothing else worked.

I was given a game block 7 years ago, could you remove it? They promised to take it off, but they didn’t take it off. There are not even a game in the store. Thanks a lot
