No, it's probably just patched incorrectly. Validate your game's files and re-patch.
Ended up moving everything manually and finally got it working. Thanks for the help!
Do on steam "verify game files" then re-apply the patch.
It should works after that.
To do that verify game files, checkout the tutorial video : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a1eRaIP_i0U
So my guess would be is that most are either waiting for it's authenticity to be confirmed by a reliable source as safe and/or testing it out for themselves.
Does this fix unlock everything in actual offline mode as well too if someone doesn't have internet or do you have to be logged in to steam in order for the unlocks to take? I was curious about that aspect of it also. Thanks for the help mate.
FWIW, I've played online using this patch. It works. The lobbies are a bit ♥♥♥♥, so you'll probably have to round up some friends to play with, but it works.
As for the offline question, I've never tried it w/o Steam, sorry.
i noticed when i went to join a lobby my character just dumped in to a session half way over, of course this could be the age old modded lobby.
Curiosity here, lets just say 20 years from now, steam is still going and running like steam always does and this game is compatible with the OS at the time. can it still link to others or is there another thing behind the scene that is propping this up on crutches?
ps4/ps5 fixes only work as long as the alternate DNS is running and a private backend up in some form, what about this fix?
