[TUTORIAL] Online Fix for after 31/12 !

As Gun Media closed the game backend we made a Online Fix patch to keep the game playable online.

Please note that this online fix is not supported/endorsed by Gun Media and is unofficial.

The installation is very simple.

0) Download lastest version of the patch *:
-> archive(dot)org/details/f13-onlinefix
-> replace (dot) with .
1) Make sure F13 Game is up to date with Steam and the game is closed
2) Extract F13Game folder to your steam content folder
(by default : C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common)
3) Click "Yes" to replace existing files
(make sure it asked to replace files, if not you putted it to wrong place !)
4) DONE ! Enjoy again F13 online with your friends.

* click only on "RAR download", if you don't have tool to extract the archive, i suggest the free one 7zip. Files are safe and got analysed by lot of people around here.
However, because of the missing digital signatures from files, Windows Defender (only on Windows 11) can treat it as a false positive. Any other antivirus will confirm that files are 100% safe. If you have any doubts, feel free to test the files on any online AV.

The zip version. It says it's a Trojan:Script/Wacatac.B!ml file.

Most discussions i see regarding this are related to an unsigned exe. Which this would be considering they aren't the original developers.

Right and the minute Jason goes to hook you and whoever is playing him has one or more of a dozen of those pride charms and/or any other number of other goofy charms they added in to the game then all horror emersion is broken right on the spot. lol This scene pops in my head every single time mate. lol

Your game needs to be unpacked for this to work at all. If you haven't gone through the steps to do that. It will do nothing.

this is specifically marked as "Trojan:Script/Wacatac.B!ml" and labels it severe in nature. I would be skeptical about downloading this, if CFG can get files out without this notice there is no reason why a patched file with alternate backend is getting flagged like this.

Oh no. It's true mate. Happened to me too as I stated a few posts up. The rar file scanned clean for me, but the zip file pinged as a Trojan:Script/Wacatac.B!ml file. For the time it's transferred off my machine and I nuked it off the system. I may nuke it entirely if we can't get an exact detailed explanation on this for everyone. This is why I haven't went past the downloading it and taking a peek at the files stage with this fix. Scanning my entire system as a precaution even as I write this. lol

Oh no i meant that CFG exe has been quarantined on my system as a false positive, but either way I have had no problems with either so far. I have not tried the newest bypass patch though. I'm on the old one. Seems to work fine.

Oh the old one scanned clean for me. I'd be curious what your false positive was. If it's the same result we got on the new one. I see what you're saying now. Thanks mate.

CFG just downloaded smooth as butter with no defender complaints at all. I find it odd that MS defender would flag it for such a specific reason. Unfortunately i don't have a test box for this and dont think my PC could run a virtualized environment powerful enough to play.

Also my fears are that something could be packaged with it that would not necessarily disrupt your computer or its functions, but potentially steal valuable information from you that you might not notice for some time like the gas pump devices where you cannot trace it back to the source because the fallout happens much later.

We do alot of cybersecurity stuff and this would be blacklisted immediately out of being cautious.

I would think that if the issue was that the executable had been just modified and the authentication was wrong it would not be able to pin down the threat unless its defaulting to some threat.
