Single Player Mode: Worth it?

Hi, I picked this game up on sale last year, but haven't gotten around to playing it yet, after hearing so many bad things about the online community this game has from mic spammers to homicidal Russians in cars, and the amount of bugs this game has, is the single player mode worth it to install this game?

I guess you should when the update will come around. Judging how things go for multiplayer, it is hard to say that SP will be great, but it will offer something more fun. Also, as Offline Bots will get more advanced that mode for sure will be worth to try frequently.

Yes there is, but it's stupidly easy and broken. AI gets stuck randomly, hides in front of you and charges at Jason just to get killed. It may be worth it after the the new update, because of the singleplayer challenges and the new improved AI.

Jason mains should be happy with the single player considering all they want are free kills. They don't like an online challenge so sp is right up their street.

Yeah but they won't have their ego being fed on the fact they're dominating an unbalanced killer against weaker (by default, without perks) opponents (real people).

If by that you mean a bare bones match against bots with stupid ai, then sure

Trust me. At this point buying this game for single player is a really stupid idea

You forgot the part where you will be just minding your business and you'll come across two or three dead people, because the ai jumped through the window twenty times

Well if you don't want to trade it, or try for a refund, I don't see why you wouldn't just try it

Only people who own the game in their library can post on the steam forums.

It has been that way since last summer. It seems kind of dumb to keep it locked since we are in desperate need of new players.

OP the "single player" right now is just about mindlessly killing weak AI. The AI is so bad. There are single player challenges coming, but that isn't the meat of the game. Multiplayer is.

You should have played the game when you got it. It was very unbalanced, but still fun because of all the new players due to the sale. Now it is a wasteland filled with griefers and exploiters in addition to a few try hards.
