$40 for The Witcher 3, yeah no complaints there. $40 for a multiplayer game that won't have single player mode until much later in the release, yeah, that's a problem there. For one, the single player is just AI bots who will most likely be as dumb as the xenomorphs in Colonial Marines. Remember the game Evolve? They also got greedy and look where that game is today, DEAD! I'm all for helping out devs, but $40 for just a multiplayer game that isn't Overwatch, sorry, but I'll just wait for a sale or get a cdkey. If the game ends up being a success at that price, good for them, if not, it will end up as the same price as Dead by Daylight so the servers won't look so empty.
My man, just chill. You are not going to make the price drop back to 30. They change it for a reason. You should be happy, I will say it aging...it's only 40 dollars man. I spend almost 60 for bothe the dlcs and all. And i was shocked at first when they raised the price and I accepted it. I'm glad they are adding single player. For the ones who prefer bots, or just practicing etc.
Things cost money, and they told us the price once they start working on it. And the fans accepted it, because like me we begged for it.
Im rly thinking about if i preorder or buy day 1, because i cant think of ANY reason to preorder, while the chance of a launch discount is still there... lol xD
It would be funny, but I agree, what's the point of pre-ordering, you get nothing. By paying $40, you're just paying for single player that won't be there to play day 1, and honestly, who would want to play single player when it's purely a multiplayer game. I'm a die hard horror fan, and I waited for this game instead of getting Dead by Daylight, but at least Dead By Daylight has a reasonable price for their game. We are paying just for the name Jason Voorhees. If it was some generic killer like the game was originally going to be, it would of easily been $20.
The game was selling for $30 the entire time on kickstarter or whatever they were using, some of us waited patiently for steam to put up the price so we could pre-order. You can defend them all you want, but the price is $40 because steam gets a profit here. That's why it took so long to pre-order on here. The kickstarter, 100% of the funds went directly to them. As much as I love Friday the 13th as a movie series, I have no problem waiting and seeing what exactly happens over the next few weeks. It's an unreal engine game, so we already know it\s going to have its fair share of issues.
It was $30 for digital, $60 for physical, it was like that forever, if they changed the price on there, I'm unaware, but last I checked, it was still $30.
The game was $30 when we had multiplayer only. Adding single player upped the price to $40. That was for a digital version. $60 has always been the price for a physical copy.
My game? Did you make it by yourself, no? It's a team effort. Way to take credit for all the work.
Most of us could care less about single player, everybody wants to play with other real life people, so I'll wait for a sale.
when did you last check? cause it has been $40 on backerkit since october i believe.
