The look is clearly based off of the stereotype of rich kids that wore sweaters, ascots, white shorts and sailing shoes in those films. I'm surprised they didn't name him Chet.

The above post saying it resembles Trent from the remake is just using the stereotype, but I don't think Chad is based off of him specifically.

What I ment is that the wiki said that Chad is not base on a real person. Real meaning an actual breathing person. So what I ment is while yes, the character the actors portrait in the movies are fictional, the actors themself fall under 'real' people and that the wiki include them when they say "modeled after a real person".
