I wouldn't worry about it but if you're very worried about a ban, then i'd ask this on the official forums to be sure.
Would be interested to know how you're able to edit the game's files and with what software though, if you don't mind explaining to me. I'd want to mod the game in the same way but offline instead of online.
I could see an argument that making your Jason look like a different Jason gives you an unfair advantage because counselors would be using tactics suited to the strengths and weaknesses for the Jason skin you're using, not the actual Jason you're using.
For instance, if you look like a Jason that can't run, people will play differently than if you look like a Jason who can.
Uh, I'm sure people who can identify the model are pretty set to know what strength's and weaknesses' Jason has.
Right, exactly my point. During the opening animation, players see a Jason they recognize as a Jason who can't run, so they adjust their playstyle accordingly. If that Jason is actually a Jason that CAN run but has had his skin edited to look like one that can't, then the Jason player now has an advantage they shouldn't.
Seen a few people access Jason X and Savini Jason (NES Jason music plays when he shows up for example)
I meant to disagree.
I meant the flat model, not the skin.
When you edit the texture for Retro Jason onto say Part 4, it'll still be easy to know that it's Part 4 still because of his model.
