I dunno , if i'm not wrong the violent one comes from ''Pamela's Tales'' and the nice one from a cut scene in the movie ?
If so then i prefer the nice one .

violent one is from Jason vs leatherface and pamela's and the nice one is from the cut ending of part 6. but it's still in the book of the 6th movie tho :)

we dont know what he was intended to be , jasons father was something the director of jason lives came up with , the comics took the idea and ran with it , personaly the nice father story line sounds better than the drunk and abusive one , we saw that in rz halloween and know what a crap fest that turned out to be , it has been done to death

Jason's father was in the alternate ending to Jason Lives. The storyboard for the ending is in the Special Edition for Part 6 on DVD. You can find it on YouTube too.

Basically, Martin is not killed by Jason and he's tending his grave when his father shows up. He's seen as an older man with long reddish-grey hair in a trenchcoat. Martin talks to him and he gives him money for taking care of the graves. He looks at it and knows Jason is not there. Very creepy, I prefer it to the abusive father cliche that we saw of him in the comics.
