So most likely it wasn't intended to be a part of the main story, but how does that explain him being undead??? .... and he gets confused when the Summer Camp simulation is played as a hallucination, so that shows he must have remembered his time at Camp Crystal Lake. (which is obviously a part of the main story) .... so it's anyone's guess really, it is and it isn't.
I'm siding with the original licensed canon. F13 1-8. Despite 8 being laughably awful, even by 80s cheesy horror movie standards.
I class them and Freddy be Jason.
I really disliked the remake and was hoping the new film was going to link to the old series for me.
Unfortunately it got cancelled.
I'm not usually prone to crapping on a project in development, but the team who was working on the new F13 movie didn't give me a sense that they understood the source material.
Who knows? Maybe Rob Zombie will take a crack at it, if he can figure out a way to fit Sheri Moon Zombie in as a counselor.
Lol yeah you know he would.
As Jason Mum who visits him in spirit form. I did like aspects of Halloween one and am a big Malcolm mcdowell fan.
I can't crap on zombie though I am a big fan of devils rejects. I'm interested in seeing his latest film 31.
I heard one of the rough drafts for Friday was set back in the 80s before they rejected it. Maybe whoever gets the rights will do something decent
Yeah. I'm taking a stab at Zombie but it is just in jest. His contributions to horror films are greatly underappreciated and he turned out to be a much more capable horror director than most people expected him to be.
I recall watching a trailer for House of a 1000 Corpses in theaters. When the screen emitted "A film by Rob Zombie." Some of the audience audibly laughed. For a guy who had a hit song about driving a vehicle from The Munsters, it seemed unlikely he could pull off a true tale of terror. But, he sure did.
Yeah I liked house of 1000 corpses as well. I saw the behind the scenes documentary for devils rejects him seems to have a good mind and passion for all the classic horror films.
He sure likes to add his twists to them, when he is doing his own ideas I do enjoy them. I haven't seen the lords of salem or 31 yet.
Lords of Salem didn't sell me. I thought it would by its premise, but I feel it shifts too quickly with little guidance. It might be the film's intention, but it doesn't do so in a manner reflecting of the classics it is attempting to emulate.
31 though. Haven't seen it yet. Stay tuned.
Yeah I heard salems was a big shift from his normal style.
How do you rate the Halloween remakes?
Great reboots. John Carpenter even contributed to the first one I believe.
