jason teleporting?
I saw gameplay of this and i saw that jason can teleport to the survivors and instantly kill them. Yes i understand jason has to catch up or at least be near the survivors in order for the game to be fair ,but the fact is that jason never had teleportion in the movies, yes he doesn't walk fast so i can see why they add that jason can teleport any where on the map, but the teleporting to directly to the survivors seems unfair. i have no clue why they added this feature in but its basically a slender man game if you ever saw a slender game but its jason in its place. Game looks really cool tho with all the features and interact with objects, but idk if i may buy this game because of the teleportion directly to the survivors.

It is used to replicate iconic effect of Jason just popping up and showing up in unexpected places mid chase.

its not going to be instant. yes he can teleport to the survivors but they can hit him with the weapon or just simply run away, jason is not that fast and the abiliies are on cooldown as well.

well i seen people just teleport directly to the people and kill them. maybe if there was a barrier or a zone which how far jason can teleport maybe i would reconsider about the game cuz jason never just magical appeared 5 inches away from them in the movies and im not saying it has to be like 100% like the movie but it uses the title "friday the 13th" and has jason in it so people are going expect it to be like the movies a little.

That and it doesn't teleport you instantly to survivors. It puts you into a first person view where you're moving super fast to catch up to running survivors until you either reach the limit of movement or press a button to take yourself out of it.. If you time it right, you can grab them or hit them right out of it, but it's not an instant kill either.

ok it has a little balance i notice too but just think about it, if your running away from jason and jason is like 30 feet away and in 5 seconds later he is already 5 inches away from you

Yeah, I do think about that. But haven't you seen in the movies where somebody looks and sees Jason all the way down a hall or in the trees, runs away and turns a corner and, all of a sudden, there's Jason standing there waiting for them? That's what that's supposed to replicate.

Also, if you're running away from Jason, unless you hide or he gets distracted, you're usually screwed anyway. It's already been said multiple times that Jason is OP and he's designed to be that way.

Teleporting is balanced. Yes, he gets it generally often but as said, it's to replicate him seeming to be everywhere. I was very worried about this before I played the beta but I can tell you it's not over powered. It doesn't ever put you close enough to someone to instantly hit or grab them. It doesn't ever put you on the exact location you want to go, just the general location.

Perhaps he could maybe get it less often but I don't really think it's needed.

I used it a ridiculous amount of times during beta and not ONCE did I manage to port in close enough to someone that I was able to instantly grab them and murder their ass.

Is OP talking about "morph" or "shift"?

if you ever watch h20 delirious youtube on friday the 13th you will see what im talking about in some of his videos
Reaper_223 Apr 24, 2017 @ 5:23pm
As I said, I played the beta for it. Watching those videos won't help explain much since they used both of those skills.

His "teleport" as you called it doesn't allow for you to instantly show up where players are and murder them, for the most part. It usually gets you close enough to chase them down.
Reaper_223 Apr 24, 2017 @ 5:24pm
Are you talking about his actual teleport skill that lets you pick on the minimap where you want to go? Or are you talking about the skill that lets you move quickly to catch up with someone?

I have and played with others who as well (using shift.) However, it wasn't often enough to the point of crying foul on how OP the ability is. Besides, the dev team tweaked this ability so that grabbing isn't immediately available when popping out of shift. How this difference plays in practice is yet to be discovered by us backers.
