Scary music, no sign of Jason, then a zapping sound?
What does this mean?

Zapping mean he's close to you and is abou to imminently appear, scary music means he is close but attacking people.

he is teleport to another location and is not near you anymore.

Does the Ki-Ki-Ki Ma-Ma-Ma mean he's around, or is that just a part of the general soundtrack?

Ki Ki Ki thing is just a general scare tactic. You're safe.

I think that plays when Jason unlocks one of his abilities.

Sometimes, it seems the music just randomly appears. Might be wrong because it's hard to tell if jason is actually near or not.

It means he teleported either away from or to your location. Sometimes the music swells just to build tension, however there is a difference in general music and each Jasons' music. Each Jason "skin" has a distinct musical theme.

When you hear the iconic sound it means Jason learned a new ability. It means you are taking too long and Jason is getting stronger.

Sometimes music plays when he's nowhere near you, it's always specific music when he's in your area. Just gotta remember which is which.
The zapping sound is part of an ambient music track. The music that your hearing is simply ambient horror music to pad out the atmosphere.

The only song that indicates jason is near you is the only one that plays when hes near you.

ney. The zapping sound ending a scary music means he left the area with a teleport and he's no longer around you.

Yeah,I'm talking about the zapping sound that always ends the music. Whenever I get that music (before the zap) he never seems to be close, though, so it's confusing. Thanks for the replies.

No that is *static*. That is not a zap lol. What this person is talking about is that sound that plays at the end of an ambient track. Think and pay attention--youve all heard it.

It has nothing to do with jason's teleport, or jason at all. Im not sure how so many people aren't aware of what the OP is actually referring to.
