The Savini Jason DLC character situation is unacceptable. (petition inside)

It's a major thing to not have access to and is arguably the strongest Jason in the game.

I purposefully kept myself mostly in the dark about this game as not to over hype my expectations/spoil things. I only ever saw about the virtual cabin thing...which they wanted people to pay separate for regardless if they were backing the game. (That was outright ridiculous btw)

I guess I should have paid more attention? But again, it's a major thing for people to not have access to. There are even people who backed/pre-ordered who missed out on the skin seemingly because they either did not know about it or thought it was included with their pre-order. To top it all off there was a mess with the keys and they're selling on e-bay for $200+ ...many of those key won't even work! You allowed people to buy multiple keys and now condemn those trying to buy one.

I know everyone who got their skin or is hawking theirs on e-bay will probably disagree with me because all they have to cling to is a virtual character making them feel special in life, but the skin should be added as DLC for all at an increased price. Even if it was priced at $20.

The fact that it was never available through Steam/PSN/Microsoft in any way shape or form is a real low blow move. There are plenty of people who more than happily would have thrown down the 6 dollars if they had simply known about the skin.

The counselor DLC situation is also disappointing, at least those don't affect game play though. In truth BOTH should be made available for Steam/PSN/Microsoft users on their respective platforms! Cutting the direct platforms out of the sale through all stages left too many people in the dark.

Until this situation is rectified I will not be changing my review from negative.

The skin is for backers. People who supported this game 2 years ago by paying out of pocket for a product that didn't exist yet. You will never see that skin, and neither will I and that is FAIR in my opinion. They earned it, they paid for it.

What they decide to do with their skins is their business. They could sell it for a million dollars, it's their property. It doesn't affect the game for any of us.

have you ever visited the backer pages? some people donated even 10k and more huge amounts of money someone had 100k so that is alot of money to get this game done some people put 20dollars ofc myself paid 40 but dont say all backers got it for little/small money cause it aint true

I had paid for 2 copies for myself and my girlfriend before the beta when the game was up for $30, I'm a bit disappointed I didn't recieve anything, I thought that I would receive a code or two for myself and her because my money still helped to fund the game at a later stage before the beta was even live but you get you get I suppose. I don't think theres anyway to change it unless you find a legit person selling the code.

i poured a hundred bucks into the game when it wasnt even Friday the 13th yet. When i found out that Tom Savini is creating a skin for this game i jumped on the opportunity. That doesnt mean that down the road it shouldn't be offered as a DLC to make them a few more bucks but it should not be given away freely.

It's not even just purely cosmetic.

Again, they earned it. They backed a game that was a concept two years ago. At the end of the day it's just a Jason. It's not game breaking, it dosen't ruin it for anyone, and that Jason isn't some over powered god.

I agree 100%. Though, I believe it would be dishonest to backers if they ever released this skin to the general public. The skin is for those few who belived in the project, and wanted to make it happen.
