DX11 feature level 10.0 is required to run the game
Has anyone got this error besides me? I ran dxdiag to find out what version of DirectX I am using, which is DirectX 12. So there is no reason why I should get this.

I got this error too and i have DirectX 12 too but I don´t have NVIDIA. Maybe because I don´t have NVIDIA, I can´t play the game?

1) Get the latest Windows Updates;
2) Update your video driver;
3) Update DirectX;

Mine is probably one that you never heard of: a GeForce 675MX.

I have a iMac, but I am using vmware Fusion to run Windows 10.

Hmmm. 675mx was a mid-high range laptop card but, that was a few years and generations ago. I'm curious if that's compatible with dx11. I would still think so.

Scratch that. It does supposedly support DX12. I'd see if there is an updated driver.

maybe thats the Problem in VMWARE you cant run DirectX!! vm uses only open gl, so you need a real installed Windows 7 or 10 to use DX11 !!

I don't get the message, but I have been told once by a fourm moderator to 'Get DirectX 11' because the game lacks the proper libaries to use DX12. However, I already have DirectX 11 (DX11.1 to be exact according to DXDiag) so it should be able to run.

I have zero clues what is causing my crashes though, as they occur as soon as the first cutscene starts and it never gets the chance to finish. So I never make it to the menu. And no error message crops up. It's irritating and frustrates me to no end, and has led to me being unable to play for over a month.

the first scene is only a Video file!! when you mean the Illfonic and Gunmedia Intro!! I renamed the file bcs. the Sound was allways so annoying on start. Go to your Local Files C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\F13Game\SummerCamp\Content\Movies and rename the 2 Files called Intro 1080 and Intro 1088 I think. then start the Game!!
you are allrdy in the Game!!! Lol

That's some choppy if not possiably trollish advise if I ever seen it.

I have already attempted doing that. It simply sped up the crash as in the intro's place, it flashed black then back to the desktop.

Also, I am not sure if you noticed, but I was playing ARK when you sent that, not Friday the 13th. And the 'most recently played at' time for Friday the 13th is really from when I tried to start the game only for it to crash before the hockey mask could even show up.
