Controller problems.
I have an xbox360 controller connected to my computer that I play the game with. At first, there was not single problem. Now though, whenever i have to complete something in game that needs me to rotate the joystick (such as turning a wheel), the game simply will not recognize that i am continuously doing the action. The bar will fill up for a few seconds and then it thinks that I am no longer rotating making it impossible to do this action with a controller. I tried different controllers, all have the same problem, which is why i believe it is a game problem. Any comments will be appreciated.

I have no problems with my wired Xbox 360 controller. It works fine. Is yours wired or wireless?
Wireless, but i also have used wired to try it as well. Like i said, its only a recent problem so im not sure whats up with it.
TT can fix this if they can't replicate in their lab. This must be something wrong with your PC rather than the game problem.

Yes it must be the pc i have a wireless xbox 360 controller with this game and it works fine
I have the same issue, so it's not likely to be a problem with the PC. If, during play, I disconnect the controller, I can use 'K' to carry out the turning action, but then it doesn't recognise the controller at all, when plugged back in.

I have the sme problem. I have a Steelseries 3GC controller. I have to switch to keyboard controls in order to perform this action.
There have been at times where it won't recognize the second xbox360 controller. Both controllers are connected before launching the game. Usually fix is just to restart the game and if that doesn't work restart the computer. The problem doesn't seem to happen during game play just as soon as your start game play so restarting isn't a problem. I can see if you are in the middle of game play it can be annoying.

This game launch has been buggy to say the least and looking through the forums many other people have been experiencing the same or similar issues. I personally have had numerous issues besides the controllers.

If anyone knows how to send crash data to developers please let me know. Searching all over to where I can provide this data or does the crash data get provided automatically? Crash data is located %userprofile%\AppData\Roaming\Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment\LEGO STAR WARS The Force Awakens\CRASHDATA
Restarting does not help. The problem does not go away unless i use a keyboard.
I almost tossed the game due to this and other controller issues which I ultimately solved by switching my controller from DirectInput to XInput via a hardware switch on the back. If yours lacks this switch here is a software fix and explanation that might work. http://www.pcgamer.com/how-to-use-old-directinput-controllers-in-new-xinput-games/

I get this same issue with thumbstick rotation actions, and I also have a 360 wired controller. All of the other special actions are (mostly) fine, though there are a couple special actions where I have to spin BB-8 that have a similar issue and I have to rotate really slowly. Could this have something to do with the dead zone setting for the controller?

Whenever it comes up I just "change device" in control setup, switch to keyboard, complete the action, then "change device" back to controller. That way the controller stays plugged in.
I have the same problem, using the Steam Controller.
FIX;

using player 1s gamepad >Options > control setup (here u will see that player 2s setup is using the keyboard) > scroll down to "change device" > before you press anything move right so the player 2s side is high lighted > then press A > then press any button on player 2s pad > Accept .
I would say that is more of a compromise, not a fix.
Oh yeah dude. I totally thought this was just my old controller acting up. Those wheel motion things are so frustrating sometimes.
My controller worked flawlessly prior to the update. I was using XboxOne wireless controller and now since the update has been applied it wont work at all.
